Good News, Bad News... Here We Go Again!

In case you've not been following the real-life soapy antics of our drama queen friends over at Prospect Park, here's the story, in all its, uh, glory?

So here we go again, on another roller coaster ride.  Will One Life to Live live again? Will All My Children have more children?

What do you think?  We'd love to hear from you.  Leave those ass-toot thoughts and observations here, por favor.  And stay tuned - we certainly will!

Heeeeeeeeeeey Boo

I am so glad you had a great time and that you liked me even though I am half Dominican, lol!!!!!

I had a blast with Jordan, he is fabulous , funny and such a sweet person.

I cannot wait to hang out again and hopefully it will be more scandalous so he can have a good story for the next podcast.

Don't worry Ashley I will take care of him and make sure he has a great time every time we go out.

Hope everyone enjoyed the new podcast. Thoughts??

Are our Canadian friends finding ways to watch the shows? Can you watch via TOLN.com?

Great hearing from you guys again!

Loving the podcast. Shadow you are so astute on the behind-the-scenes politics of this can of worms! Now I am really confused. I do agree w/Jordan, OLTL will not be back. I think TPTB botched OLTL's return and there's no recovering from that. OTOH I am enjoying AMC once again. New AMC is finding it's groove again. The down fall of OLTL was building so much drama around the Shelter. Why wasn't the old Capricorn set recreated? Where is the Buenos Dias Cafe? There was nothing to ground us and connect is to the old show. Not to mention the Shelter set was god awful, bleak and sinister and unwelcoming.

Erika, so are so lucky you got to hang w/Jordan!!!

Great point! Why have that generic coffee shop instead of the Buenos Dias Cafe or something recognizable?

Oh BTW Shadow, I have to admit I don't hate that Snoop Dogg tune. The dancing is lame, but the song is OK. Bottom line is, for me, OLTL is just not capturing family drama the way AMC has always done, and is still continuing to do. I am actually finding new AMC way more watchable than the last 10 years of old AMC, where the only thing that kept me watching was the PV podcast!

I didn't mind the young ones or anyone in particular on OLTL. I wasn't invested in Destiny so Skinny D didn't bother me. I am more interested in Michelle and Matthew, Jack and his sexy teacher than Cutter or Snatchalie. I'm tired of Todd & Victor. I don't care about them. Their stories are so labored and nonsensical. Give me good stories for the cast that can commit. OLTL started off seedy and foul mouthed and just rambled along until the last three weeks when the stories began to gel and the performances took flight. I don't give two hoots about Alison Perkins. I would like to see where they go with crazy Michelle and skeevy Arturo though. As for the Snoop song, it isn't hideous but that whole dancing scene is just uncomfortably awkward to me. As a rule there should be no dancing on soaps unless there is a father-daughter dance at a wedding or there is a bah mitzvah or some particular need for it... Dancing makes the older people look dorky, the younger people look sleazy and generally makes everyone look silly with their white people dance moves from 1985. It hardly seems like a 'Brand New Snoopy Day' when Viki comes twirling across the stage like Doris Day in 1956. Again, just my very humble opinions. Oh, glad Bo & Nora are happy, but the NightBird makes me suicidal.

BTW, any theories about Celia's big mysterious past and guardian?

On a serious note, our dear friends Susan and Elyse (mother an daughter) have been spending tons of time in the hospital with Susan's husband/Elyse's father who is ill with a serious infection. Hospitals are never fun for the patient or visiting family. Here's wishing him a speedy recovery and all of them their lives back to normal ASAP. Hugs and love from all us here at PVP!!

Bad news for Zach fans... Thorsten Kaye is replacing that mannequin Ronn Moss as Ridge Forrester on B&B:

When Prospect Park announced that they were doing so well with OLTL and AMC that they were halving the production of both shows, I was a little skeptical. I can only guess that their new spin will be that the shows are so successful that they will not need to air them at all anymore. Prospect Park: Building a media empire on one lie and broken promise after another.
