Cuckoo Birds and Yellow-Bellied Sapsuckers

Hello PVPers!  This week, we're talking General Hospital (and only General Hospital).  Like Spinelli's "Bird Hunting" tips, we're offering you a guide to listening to The PVP this week:

1) Turn down the volume on your listening devices.  We've got stuff to scream about this week.

2) Listen, if you can bear the noise.

3) Leave your thoughts, observations, ass-toot comments here. (We could both use a bitch-slap or two.)

Miss you all bunches!

Ashley, thank you for acknowledging that Jason is a POS! I do love GH, but come on people, why are we glorifying a cold blooded killer? I really find this offensive. The scene where Jason barges into the room in NOLA where McBain is and blows away two people offended me. He is no better than the 2 men he killed and shame on GH for glorifying violence.

Thank you Ash and Jordan for the podcast, so great to hear from you guys again!

Have to agree with Jordan, GH has given new life to the characters of Todd and McBain. I used ot HATE them both, but now they amuse me. Also, happy that Starr's dark story is over and she's getting a teen romance.

I checked iTunes and the podcast episode isn't there. Will it be posted soon?

Okay, that Felicia Jones impersonation was perfection Ashley. Thank you guys so much for taking time from your busy lives to record the podcast.

GH or “One Hospital to Generally Live” has been fantastic of late. I loved the Todd and Blair stuff and the Dorian Lord reference. I also adore Starr and Michael together. I can see a bit of what the Starr haters say, but I feel as if I watched her grow up, and I feel a fondness for the character and the actress.

The diabolical campiness of Heather Webber is great. I have no idea what either sees in that dried up lush Luke Spencer, but Anna has been great too.

It is fast-past and exciting to watch, and by combing both shows and legacy characters, I have been doing very little fast forwarding on the DVR as not to miss a thing. I have not been able to say that about GH in a long time. I would like to see a bit more of the nearly forgotten Quartemaines and at least one Pine Valley resident move to Port Charles, but you can not have everything.

I hope everyone is having a great summer!

can I just say I want to see David Hayward on GH as the mad doctor behind Robin's imprisonment?

What is with all of these posts out there in the soap blogospheres hurling vulgar curses at the show while the bloggers are apparently tearing at their sack cloth robes and weeping because of the cruel way GH “tortured” Robin today? Um…guys, F.Y.I …..she is an actress. No one was actually harmed in the filming of today’s episode. Watching a beloved character overcome adversity is very much a part of serialized drama.

Not shockingly, the comments came from some of the same people who had the audacity to say that Susan Lucci was “gloating” about her new show at the Emmys, and how malicious that was because so many other people from the show were still unemployed???? I think I saw her on the red carpet answer one question about her new show, and she was as gracious and positive as she always is.

I thought today’s GH episode was incredibly tight, and exciting. It is just one great scene after the next these days.

Azgal, I thought they might be paging Dr. Hayward too- given his history with Anna in Pine Valley, but I have read that a legacy GH villain is behind the whole thing. You never know though.

still wish Hayward was the puppet master behind this whole thing
