We Watch So You Don't Have To...

But not last week. Sort of.

While we did watch the show, Taylor and I dropped the ball on our little podcast this week due to competing vacation time off.

So I'll be back next week, and Taylor (who is vacationing in Dubuque, Iowa with his not-so-healthy great aunt Ouisa) will be back sometime after Labor Day.

Until then, let's not dish on Erica's neck (c'mon, people - the woman is 61 years old and better looking than most 30 year-olds I know!), and dish a little more on the amazing talent that is Alicia Minshew, and the amazing wonder that Sabine Singh has a three-year contract.

Your thoughts, folks, here.

3 years?!? Who can take it? That just might be enough to make me stop watching. Did you see how awful she was acting at the hospital on Monday? My 4 year old daughter can act better than that. Most of the time I watch with closed captioning on so I at least don't have to hear her. We miss you Taylor. It's just not the same w/o you!

Ashley and Taylor, you guys deserve a week off! Thanks so much for all your hard work and amazing podcasts of the past year+. You guys have spoiled us, so knock yourselves out, have a vacation and get some rest. We're just glad to know ya'll are okay and sometimes we need to be reminded you have a life away from the Valley of the Pines.

I agree with you about Alicia Minshew. I don't think she has ever been better. When she first started on AMC I thought her acting was so annoying and over the top and now Kendall is full of subtle complexities and spot on performances. She and Zach are just the perfect couple!

phew! Glad you guys are taking a much deserved break. Taylor's family must be so lucky to have him!

P.S. Alicia is doing great, but I'm getting a little sick of the same "I can't be in 2 places at once" speech EVERY day. Anyone agree?

Yes, I do agree about "I can't be in two places....". I didn't think that made much sense. Other than that, I think she's doing great. Can't blame her for lame writing!

I'm glad to know you are both okay! Taylor sure spends a lot of time in the Great Plains. Looking forward to your return next week.

hey guys. i hear you about Alicia. but i have to disagree about Sabine. i think shes great. Greenlee right now i Loathe, but i dont think its Sabines fault at all. The lady has a horrible storyline for her character, and unbelieveable situations shes forced to act out. ive accepted her as Greenlee (i wasnt a big greens fan ever) and im just waiting hopefully for a more realistic Greenlee

Oh, thank goodness all is okay. My whole week was a downer without you. Taylor, what did you think of DBQ, my daughter's going to college there in the fall! I love your accents. I am from Iowa and live in Chicago.

Yes I agree that the writers are to blame for Greenlee's annoying character, but I do have to agree that she is an awful actress. She might be great in the theater, but not so great on television. She needs to tone it down a bit. I think she has gotten better but still has a long way to go. And I did notice the hospital scene too. My 6 year old too is more convincing at playing hurt than Sabine. Alicia is great! and so is Kendall.

Thank God you're all right Ashley and Taylor. I was so worried when there was no new episode in itunes on Monday morning! Miss you guys terribly. The week hasn't been the same without you, but you do deserve at least one week off. I'll suffer grudgingly knowing how much you both put into the show each and every week. ... I do appreciate your efforts especially since I'm one of those ex-longtime viewers who doesn't watch AMC anymore and counts on you to do the dirty work for me.

I saw Sabine on CSI NY on Wednesday night and I see now that the way she acts on AMC is typical of the way Sabine acts. Constantly touching her forehead with that clawing at her forehead motion. I think if she would tone down her acting and try to be more natural she would do a great job. Its like she is almost acting as though she is in a play with her over the top motions and emotions. Alicia M is doing a great job showing emotion at the right time and not for a lack of a better word overacting. I love the way Zach always saves the day but I can see in his eyes that he is starting to get perturbed at the way Kendall is, not ignoring Ian, but not spending as much time with him. I think that is why Zach bought the testing machine for Spike, so she can relax and maybe spend more time with Ian. All in all the story lines are getting better and its not as hard to watch the show as it was at the end of the last writers stint. Ashley and Taylor you guys are doing a great job and keep it up. I miss you guys and cant wait to hear your next pod cast.

Hey guys. . .

Am I remembering this correctly? Remember Amanda gave a box of papers that Julia had received from Kaythee's estate? I think she was trying to pass it off as something he could use on Tad while she was protecting her mother. As I recall -- Kaythee's birth certificate tumbled out of the box and behind a table. Did he ever acknowledge (on camera that is) it's existence?

You guys are GREAT!

Hugs and smooches,

Peg

I agree with Bridget in MO. Sabine's acting is very theatrical. I think she has talent, but she does need to tone it down a bit and settle into the role. She is very unnatural as Greenlee, very self conscious, but she has potential. It would be nice if she had at least ONE quality, other than her nice abs.

First of all, missed you guys this week.
About Greenlee..one minute she's flailing her arms and yelling then the next minute she's holding her sides and moaning. She's just sickening. I heard TPTB are supposed to give her some sort of redeeming quality and everybody is supposed to forgive her. Maybe it's Bianca's doing. She does have a knack for making people forgive unforgivable things. Alicia Minshew's performance for the past couple weeks has been outstanding.

glad you guys are all right and don't worry we understand you need a much deserved break for all the work you do so relax, we'll deal!;o)

in ref to Kate-thy's birth certificate. you are correct that's what happened but here's what occurred after. Adam is going through the box then realizing that it was just a box of an orphan he threw everything around and cursed out/threatened Amanda for wasting his time. while the papers landed under neath the couch in his study where since Winnie left have been and it seems no one else exist to clean up at least that's what it seems since they've never been shown again and Adam hasn't come across them.

Wish I followed you two in taking the week off! Finally got my wonderful fianceƩ to watch with me and WHAT A SUCKY WEEK! Have to disagree about Alicia: if she breaks down again I will have to turn in my hi-definition tv to best buy!

I'm only gonna say positive things about AMC, so here goes... Alicia Minshew looks just as beautiful with the minimal makeup. Loved the awkward hug between Ava and Lily, it was sweet. Uh, that's about it.

Love you Taylor and Ashley! I'm positive about that!
