Okay, here's my beef. Tad is all over Krystal because she is seeing Adam. He gets his control freak off on her about her and Adam; how he doesn't want Adam near HIS little girl. I could get this if Tad wasn't the world's biggest hypocrite. He conveniently forgets about the fact that he killed Greg Madden. TPTB obviously want the viewers to forget this too, and a lot of viewers can't forget. Tad is no better than Adam and when he becomes Mr. Self-righteous Martin, I just want to wring his friggin' neck. When did Tad become such an idiot?
Argh! I agree with you Ashley, please let this just be a bad dream. I am so ready to wake up!

Tad a control freak? I have to say I disagree. This is about 2 things and 2 things only. Kate was taken from him and Adam kidnapped Jenny. Why in the world would he ever trust that man? As far as him being a hypocrite, I think Tad is tortured by what happened to Greg Madden, as he did not mean to kill him. I absolutely love the Tad/Krytal/Adam triangle. Fine acting by all, especially by David Canary, who has to say with a serious face, why can't Tad just let go of the past? He stole and tried to sell his daughter less than 6 months ago!
About the stairs in the Bomb shelter, they mentioned near the beginning that the stairs were wooden and had rotted and collapsed. All that is left is a few steps near the door at the top. Let that be a lesson to all of us interested in building a bomb shelter....concrete steps.
I get why Tad would not want Lil Jenny around Adam, and I agree with him. But... he has amnesia about his own felonies. Bottom line, he's no better than Adam.
I'm tired of all the anger and gut wrenching b.s. on AMC. One of the things that made AMC stand out and made me love it so many years ago was the way TPTC infused their characters with a genuine sense of humor. There are no more light moments on the show.

Ashley - thank you, thank you, thank you, for your wonderful podcast. I listen to many podcasts each week, but I always put the PVP on the top of the queue.
TOO excited to hear what you have to say about Rebecca's return. I am ridiculously excited. Christmas has come early. One thing I'll miss - you're dead-on impression of Sabine. "I discovered Rhapsody in Red!" My mom and I laughed about that for weeks.
And thank you for the clip about Laura's death on the previous podcast. I had a good hard cry, both about hearing the pain in Brooke's voice and in the pain of missing the character of Brooke. Bring her back!!
And while we're at it, how about a recast for Leo? I know we'll never get Josh D. back, but wouldn't it be fun to see Rebecca playing a story line with a returned Leo and her feelings for him versus Clodumbo?
This week what is bothering me the most is....how did Adam put 2 and 2 together? How did he recognize that Katherine on the birth certificate is Julia's Kathy AND...how did he make the Dixie connection? If the birth certificate said Dixie on it...he would have noticed that right away, not days later! AGHHHHHHHHHHH!

I'm hating what they are doing to Kendall and Zach! NO WAY would Kendall ever mess around with Aidan and Zach would never entertain thoughts of Greenlee even if she were the last woman on earth and Kendall was long dead. This is the stupidest thing ever! Just when the show was getting better they have to go and ruin the improvements with this crap!
I'm really happy though that Rebecca Budig is returning and even more so that Debbie Morgan and Darnell Williams will also be back in Pine Valley! Here's hoping that these quality actors can guide the writers who clearly have no idea who these important characters are or what they're about. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on these comings and goings?

Not taking anything away from Budwig--she's a great actress. Great at making me hate the character of Greenlee. I was jumping up and down when she left. Everyone forgets how self centered, spoiled, petulant, obnoxious and downright mean she was. She would actually exhaust me. She treated Kendall like dirt at every turn. Now with Sabine, I couldn't stand her in the beginning (because she acted like the old Greenlee), but she began to grown on me because she had a soft side that would come out and sometimes you would feel sorry for her--never with Budwig. So, unless Budwig morfs into a little semblence of this current Greenlee with some of the hardness out, I'm just going to hate her again. And to be honest, I don't have the strength to deal with that every day again.
I also agree about Adam. I thought I must have missed something somewhere where he puts 2+2 together about Kate.

Ashley, I am loking forward to hearing your take on what impact this return will have on the storyline, especially regarding romantic pairings. I recall that you said you don't think RB would've accepted a pairing with Aidan. I agree! So do you think they will pair Greenlee with Zach now (Ahh! break up my Zendall!!) or will a Rylee return be in our futures?

I've been listening to your podcast for a few months now - love it and enjoy your humor! Keep up the good work.
Just thought I'd give my two cents about the problems with the show - consistently poor writing and direction, lack of history, bad storylines...AND it's unethical treatment of employees. Although I have noticed vast improvements in recent months, I find it ironic that the end of the year's major story seems to be symbolic of the show itself - being trapped in a dark, damp hole in the middle of nowhere with no resources but snake meat to survive with people trying desparately to tear down a concrete wall with a garden trowel.
I can't wait to hear your latest on this past week's happenings with Singh and Budig. I do believe this has now helped me kick the AMC habit once again - I stopeed watching in 2005 when Greenlee left and came back when she did and will leave when Singh does...
I've liked Budig's acting since she was on GL but must say have enjoyed Singh's time on AMC this past year. I'll be sorry to see her go. I was hoping they were going for a Brooke vs Erica dynamic with Greenlee and Kendall with the character changes of both have gone through. Have liked the pairing with Aidan (I think he's been enunciating so much more since he's been hooking up with Greenlee that I can actually understand him a bit.)
Love Debbie Morgan and Darnell Williams...to bad it's one more example of an AMC problem--their great return is being advertised along with the recast-uncast-cast change of Singh and Budig.....There's no comparison between Morgan's and Budig's acting ability. I would have been doing backflips with just the news of Morgan's return!

sabine really grew on me, i am really upset that she's leaving, i never liked the old greenlee she was always my least favorite character. then sabine made me like her again, she turned her into the most down to earth character on the show, in my opinion. i understand why they'd bring her back for ratings but i really hope she takes into consideration the work that sabine did and changes for the better.
