Things are Really Hot on All My Children!

(Too bad it's all behind-the-scenes stuff and not the actual show that I'm talking about.)
  • Greenlee confesses her sins - again - as she and Zach remain in the B.S. (that actually stands for "bomb shelter, but the initials are wonderfully appropriate).
  • Spike finally gets his cochlear implants (and some shoddy bandages).
  • Tad threatens Krystal wth a custody suit (conveniently forgetting that a murderer isn't exactly a better role model for a child than an egotistical psychopath).

But the big news? Of course! Rebecca Budig has been asked to reprise her role as Greenlee, and Sabine Singh has been quietly released from her contract. I don't have to tell you people what to do. You go, here.

19/m...RE: Closed Captioning for the Aidan Impaired. Funny you mentioned that, because there was one moment this week where I was watching with my parents (been watching since I was 8!) and none of us could understand one of his lines. So, I turned on CC and rewound, and it worked! My mom laughed and remarked how smart I am with the technology stuff. My response was, "Well, what do you think the captioning is for? Deaf people?" Because we all know it's really for translating Aidan.

As for the captioning not working on some of his lines...I've never noticed that, but I think most captions these days are done via voice recognition, so either the computer couldn't understand Aidan or the caption data was corrupted on the way to your TV. (God forbid anyone check those before airing....)

Loved the podcast! AMC has been a fun addiction...but I'm starting to break it. TPTB are killing me with their stunt casting this past week. Better story lines and better writing - that's what I want. Is AMC going to improve on those???

Hate to admit it but just finished watching One Life to Live on SoapNet right now. It's fantastic right now. AMC needs to take lessons. OLTL has stories that I want to see about family, friends, relationships, humor, good looking people, social issues - everyday on OLTL just keeps getting better and better.

Oh well...I think I'm replacing my AMC addiction for one with PVP. It's so much more fun right now!

I've been watching AMC since the '80s, but I don't ever remember Aidan ever showing any range of emotion except looking hot. Is my memory wrong?? Now he's always yellin and angry. What's up with that?

I think TPTB are trying to convince us that he can act. I actually really like him now. I loved when she said he has been waiting for her all of his life..it melted my heart and made me forgive him for ERIN (ho hum!)

Hey Ashley,

So Krystal has to choose which man to allow near her baby daughter: Adam who didn't help with the delivery and tried to give Jenny to adoptive parents or Tad who killed Greg Madden? She should walk away from them both. Michael Knight is doing a great job as usual with the crappy stuff he's given to work with but I don't think even he believes Tad would be this hypocritical. Adam did a bad thing but even Krystal acknowledges that he was rightly very angry at the time.

Can't wait for Jessie and Angie's return! January 18 and 25! Do you think Aidan's new sidekick is going to be related to them somehow? What about Scooby Gang member with the glasses who won't take them off? Hmmm. Hubbards coming out of the woods...work anyone? Will Darnell be playing Jessie or his long lost (please don't make it another twin!) relative?

No matter what anyone says I'm loving Richie and I pray every show that he'll really kill Blandie so that Ryan can raise Emma. "All I want for Christmas is Blandie gone, Blandie Gone, Blandie GONE" There's a song to sing while toasting marshmallows over a roaring fire.

in response to the last post, i think aidan's new sidekick is gonna be related to the kid dre who for some reason is listed on the cast and who was so mad about 9/11 and didn't want his picture taken. just an idea who knows. and i agree that one life to live is great right now, although i hope they keep some of the cast in paris texas, i love those scenes. i wish paris texas had it's own soap. to you ashley, and to all your listeners, i hope you all have a great holiday and happy new year! i hope 2008 brings great story lines, may tad find kate-thy, may ava and johnny finally break up, may josh and sean return to the show, may j.r cut his hair, and may new-babe fall into the bomb shelter and disappear forever.

Hey...just finished watching today's AMC episode and the bomb shelter rescue. It just hit me that even covered in layers of dirt and grim how beautiful Sabine Singh is and how ruggedly handsome Thorsten Kaye is.
